Masada suggestions.

Post by FireBird »

Hey. I'm thinking about upgrading my Masada as I have had it for a while now and I feel it is coming to the end of the road for the rifle.. I am buying a new piston, tight bore barrel, motor, aluminum hop up and air seal, and m120 spring. Is there anything that I may be missing or should get. Also any suggestions?

Look into r-hop. I have heard it has a truly significant improvement upon any rifle if done well. I have also read that they fit well into prometheus tightbore barrels.

Install it with a barrel lockdown kit as well.

The r-hops are made by the person that runs this website, same thing with the M-nubs that go along with the r-hop.

From what I have read, those few changes should make a huge difference in your accuracy and effective range.

Explore the guys website here, he makes all of the parts I listed above:

Or just buy the new Prometheus "delta strike" barrels at evike. It's all done for you, they work in every gearbox and propulsion system except for Daytona gun since it uses a plastic window. Hunter seeker didn't invent R-hop, he commercialized it. You can make your own, you need that precise of a cutting tool. I've seen it made with macro line, or air line that has been common for years with external air powered guns.

I recently purchased 2 barrels for AK aeg's. I will making a video comparing a stock brand vs just an upgrade in the barrel. Polar star owners especially are jumping on these. It also should be noted these barrels actually lower FPS, which is great if our spring is too stiff.

I had never heard of the "delta strike" barrels. Pretty convenient.

There was statistical data drawn up by a Japanese company displaying how wide bore barrels are providing more stability. It was seen by an employee of a Japanese airsoft engine maker called Escort, Which predates Daytona gun. They also had their own concept called the Long Contact Patch, more commonly known today as R-hop, which in japan has been referred to as G-hop due to the TM G-spec rifles hop system. It's forgotten history for most but "old" is new in airsoft.
