To be honest, I've been quite pleased with Matrix internals. If you don't tinker, use decent BBs, and properly care for your gun and battery, you shouldn't have any issues with any gun. They aren't indestructible but you'll be fine with whatever you get in that price range. The internet is full of expert opinion, but it's still just opinion.

Note true. KWA's make fine guns.

Honestly, I don't know any company still in business making AEGs that use bad internals anymore. Back in the day there were crappy M4's made by Well and A&K that you seriously needed to upgrade if you wanted to get it shooting above 330fps. But nowadays even a budget JG, AGM or AIM have better internals than the top-end CA or G&P's I bought 4-5 years ago.

We've helped some friends get into airsoft and the low-end G&G M4s have been stellar. Good components and well designed.

Bought this one for my 12 year-old daughter . The range is now hot..............

Might have to bring it to indoor sometime !!!!!

I am a new air softer and played my first game today. I got a G + G CM16 Raider for like 130 with 25 % off from evike.com I think I spent less than 200 with battery and charger..

TheKieth, I've moved your thread into the AEG section. Please read the 1st post of this thread and the other posts in this thread for links. There are also other discussions in the AEG section which cover airsoft gun types for links.

Travis and Twain are on the money with the G&G Raider series. Less than $150 (w/o coupons or free shipping from retailers) it is a good base to start with. I do believe that they come in both field and CQB fps. Just check the item description when you buy it so you can see what average fps the gun shoots with. Btw, G&G is Marui spec so you have a plethora of aftermarket parts available.

Another sub $200 gun would be the KWA CQR series. I have not heard of any complaints from players who have used it. Plus KWA is an established brand so you can bank on them. Though some of their parts are kind of proprietary, so upgrading externals and internals needs a little bit of research.
