Hey,
Do you think its wise to buy a Tokyo Marui SOCOM (Recoil Shock) M4A1? My main purpose for it is general long-medium range skirmishes, but if I choose it, it's basically a "sign" of friendship with a certain someone. I will definitely NEVER open it, as in I will never disassemble, upgrade, or modify it in any way, shape, or form. (besides taping mags together)
And since I didn't know where to put this, here's a small, unrelated side question. (personal preference) Do you think I should get a Tokyo Marui SOCOM M4A1 (just the gun and box) or a Marushin 1911 Dual Maxi Ver. 2 (with a spare mag and rounds) for a gift to a close relative? Thanks.

Any Tokyo Marui is a great CQB gun but...
1. A SOCOM length M4 is not a long range gun
2. All Tokyo Marui fires below 290fps which again is not optimized for long-medium range accuracy
As to whether you should get a TM AEG or a Marushin pistol? If you plan to actually play airsoft, get the TM. A Marushin fire 8mm BBs and ejects shells, both of which are impractical to use in airsoft games.
