Construction starts in August on the interior game play area. I will try and take pictures along the way and I am sure the owner will post some of his on FB and other sites.

Ideas welcome. Biggest thing is getting a game play area that is fun and dynamic.

What is Airsoft?
Airsoft, defined as a sport in which participants eliminate opponents by hitting each other with spherical non-metallic biodegradable pellets launched via replica firearms called Airsoft guns. Airsoft is one of the fastest growing recreational activities in the United States as well as around the world. In the last 10 years, the import of Airsoft replicas, gear, accessories has grown exponentially. Airsoft has surged from a backyard war game to major national and international events drawing upwards of one thousand players per event. There are thousands of local and regional games held in game fields and facilities operated just for the sport.

Plains Airsoft will offer a safe, well officiated Arena for players to participate in open play days as well as tournament/league competitions, and a retail and Pro Shop for repairs and upgrades of Airsoft equipment. It will also be the only indoor Airsoft arena in Northeast Pennsylvania.

The goal of Plains Airsoft is to operate a safe environment for Airsofters to play and enjoy the thrill and adrenaline rush of Close Quarters Combat(CQC). Plains Airsoft will run fair and well run open play dates as well as tournaments and Airsoft leagues with fair and safety conscious referees. The number one priority will be customer safety. A second priority will be fair and objectively officiated games. One of the main complaints about indoor arenas was the lack of organization and objectivity by referees. Plains Airsoft will focus on fair play for all customers.

What will the money be used for?
One of the two main multistory buildings

The bulk of the financing has been taken care of. Insurance, Lease, Advertising, all have been funded personally. This money will be used for lumber and materials for the Arena floor structures. Plans for TWO multistory buildings have been made. These structures as well as the peripheral buildings need sturdy, solid construction. That takes new, good quality lumber and the proper screws and hardware.

Risks and challenges
Most of the risks and challenges are taken care of already. Liability insurance quotes are already obtained. The lease agreement is already in place, and word has already been spread to many Airsoft players in PA, NY and NJ. The biggest challenge left is the construction of structures and buildings. Having two two-story buildings will be the challenge to construction.
