Synopsis
The Cybergun / Softair Galil SAR (Short Assault Rifle) made by CYMA, is a licensed AEG with full trades (though these are printed on, not stamped like the King Arms and real steel.) The body is full metal and very well built. The body and stock are very solid and the weight is very close to the real steel version. Performance are excellent despite it being limited to a an 8.4v stick battery due to its limited battery space. The gearbox features metal bushings and fires 370-375fps out of the box. Accuracy is excellent for an AEG in its price-range; able to hit man sized targets in excess of 100ft (with greater than 50% hits on target.) Finer details fall short of higher end replicas such as the King Arms Galil but at half the price, it's a great value. See review of the King Arms Galil SAR here: http://nycairsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=104&sid=11eaf13467a6d66b8aa33b8b71756ae0

All metal body except the handguard and grip which are nylon reinforced (better than ABS.) The full metal stock is especially rock solid and firm. Mag is also solid in the the magwell, no wiggle at all (unlike my AK's). Standard AK mags are not compatible without some serious modification. The Galil mag is slightly thicker and wider so AK mags don't lock into the Galil's magwell securely. I did manage to get a AK hi-cap mag to partially feed but it's not secure enough to field.

Pro
1. Solid metal body
2. New generation 'black' CYMA gearbox with metal bushings
3. Averages 370-375fps w/.20g
4. Realistic iron sights including fake flip-up 'Tritium' night sights

Cons
1. Aux thumb selector switch is a fake looking moulded impression on the grip
2. Gas tube too narrow to fit a longer 9.6v stick battery

Galil mag (top) compared to AK mag (below). Note just a slight difference in dimensions but it makes a difference.
