With various red dots, you'll find all makes and models much more effective if you remember that they aren't a scope. The intent is to hold it up in front of your face and focus on the target. Your brain superimposes (magically makes it appear) on your target.
It takes a little getting used to, but with a little bit of practice you will find yourself hitting targets much faster.
