Really upset. Went out to shoot tooday and forgot the barrel cover was on. The muzzle break chiped. I know it won't effect the accuracy but i don't want it to crack more/look bad. What orange tip can I get to replace it? Also, it's pinned? It's a G&G full metal.

Orange tips are not required by law except for import. However - you can get a metal one with orange tip as well.

Thanks. I just don't know how to get it off, or if its positive or negative.

M4 variant - almost definitely 14mm negative.

Thank you. Seems a little over kill for g&g to pin and glue a orange muzzle break.

Most guns are imported that way - they use a small screw and hot glue.

The pin SHOULD actually have a hex head to unscrew it with (can't really see that clearly with the picture, but that's the standard for muzzles/flash hiders). Once the screw is off, remove the outer barrel segment, heat up the orange tip (dipping it for a minute in hot water usually works) to melt the glue, then use a pair of pliers to unscrew it. Remember that it's typically CCW, so don't end up tightening it more!

Thanks. But, it doesn't have a hex head it's just flat. Don't know if there's a cap covering a hex screw or something.

Hmm that may be a problem then, since we don't know if the pin actually goes through the orange tip and into the outer barrel itself. If anything, you can probably cut off the plastic around the area and look.

It's possible it came like one of my rifles. It could be just a pin, not a screw. If that's the case, you'll have to CAREFULLY hammer the pin into the outer barrel until the orange tip clears it. Then heat the glue and remove the tip. Then you'll need pliers to pull the pin out of the barrel.

Worked fine for me, just be careful. I very thin phillips screwdriver should fit into the hole of the pin. Start wacking and checking. Ir like Tsuyoi said, cut around the pin and remove it that way.
