When you say the pin is weird what does that mean? post pics please.

have to be more descriptive than saying it's "weird"... what's the gold pin? what's weird about it.

I have the same g&p body(magpul minus the Vltor upper) but in the GBB variant. the selector switch was tight at first but needed to be broken in. I just used a rubber mallet or an equally soft blunt object and smacked the selector to get it to rotate.

the pin for the forward assist needs to be hammered in. get an armorers hammer or a similar small light hammer and lightly tap it in. I'm sure there are vids on youtube that show how to assemble an AEG body.

Usually, with a new reciever the paint or anodizing will make everything very snug. I use an extra fine grit sandpaper & knock down the coating a a tiny bit at a time, just until what goes into that part just fits snuggly. Like Willis said, in time it will loosen up, but if you take off too much of the coating it will get very loose over time. Take your time & let the tools work for you, not against you.
