Symptom:
My CA M249 Gearbox jams up when the trigger is pull of more then 5 sec. If I was to hold it down for 2 or 3 secs then it works fine.

Could be your trigger. CA M249 use micro switches which are more easily damaged by high voltage batteries.
They look like this and I've previously mistaken them for MOSFET triggers, which they are not.
