Aimpoint M3/M2 or Eotech 551 For KWA LM4 Magpul Edition

Post by aaps59 »

I probably won't be using this guy in the outdoor fields because of its small mags, and practicality. Leave your ideas in the reply's!
ALSO if you have any better(cheaper) shops to get this stuff at, greatly appreciated
Not sure what the difference is between the M2 and the M3 aim points
Id go along with an epic flashlight, black MVG, and Madbull Noveske amplifier.

For indoors, I'd recommend the Eotech. It gives you a better site picture, and for close quarters, it's the best option.
Gives you better handling and easier target acquisition than the Comp m3.

I'm on the same side of the fence as Primer & Hitman, the Eotech is much easier to aquire targets in close quarters when the engagement distance is limited. I like the Comp m3-4 for larger areas because it allows you to concentrate your eyes on a target that may not be moving as much as in a closer cqb environment, I guess its because the more distance between them & a potential threat doesnt warrant the use of energy to evade. Thats when I pick them off from across the field! 8-)
Another valuable piece that can be deployed with both sights is a 3x magnifier, it gives you a chance to see the whites of their eyes before taking the shot!

Bear in mind that shipping is a bit slow, but the prices are pretty good.

Thanks for your input =)
I was looking into a magnifier, but since I probably won't be using it all too much outdoors because of unpracticality, Im not sure if Id need one.

+1 on the Eotech, I had an. Trijicon ACOG before and the Eotech 551, and having the 551 gives me a much greater field of view and makes acquiring targets a lot easier.

I got tunnel vision with the ACOG and hated it. I was so glad when I found somebodyto trade. Lol

For CQB the EO Tech all the way. For even a better field of view, I'm a fan of the NC star Panoramic multi reticle type. It's even more open than any other reflex site but the EO Tech may be more aesthetically pleasing on an M4.

I totally agree with Pryme on both points - but IMHO most optics will hinder your vision in CQB - iron sights should be more than adequate. For CQB I would recommend investing in a good taclight, possibly with a strobe mode. The light will not only blind your opponent but also make it easier for you to see the path of the BB.

Red dots do help in low-light CQB because no airsoft gun has real tritium glow dots on their iron sights (at least not stock guns).
